You will need to specify three different passwords when you install the Bank Control client application and create a Bank Control profile:

Local Password

  • The local password is used for access to the password encrypted (not just password protected) local database on your device.
You are requested to enter a local password when you start the Bank Control client application or to unlock the running client application which was locked after a a period of inactivity.
  • You specify the local password (or local database password) when you install the client application for the first time or after you destroyed your local database.
  • You can change your local password from the Settings/Application device's options menu.
  • We never ask you for your local password and there is no facility to reset or recover it. If you've forgotten your local password you will have to destroy the local database and to register the device again. All transactions and settings will be lost.

Service Password

  • The service password is used when you register a device with your existing Bank Control service profile or to login to the My Profile section of the Bank Control web site.
  • You specify the service password when you create your Bank Control service profile.
  • You can change your service password from the My Profile/Update Details page of the Bank Control web site.
  • If you've forgotten you service password - please, visit the My Profile/Can't Login page of the Bank Control web site and request a password reset. We'll email you a password reset key with instructions how to set your password again.
  • We never ask you for your service password and we can't send it to you. We simply don't know your password. When you specify the password, the Bank Control service encrypt it using one way encryption before saving it in the service database. We can only check that the password you've provided is the same but we can't tell what the password is.

Transaction Password

  • The transaction password is requested when you make payments or transfers.
  • You specify the transaction password when you create your Bank Control service profile.
  • You can change your transaction password from the My Profile/Update Details page of the Bank Control web site.
  • If you've forgotten you transaction password - please, visit the My Profile/Can't Login page of the Bank Control web site and request a password reset. We'll email you a password reset key with instructions how to set your password again.
