The Bank Control™ client application uses device specific notifications to raise alerts when:

  • New transactions have been downloaded during manual or background synchronisation. You can configure this alert for each account.
  • Some newly downloaded transactions have been marked as suspicious according to highlighting rules. You can configure this alert for each account.
  • Account balance is outside of configured range of values. You can configure this alert for each account.
  • There are unsettled (e.g. credit card) transactions for which interest is being paid or will be paid soon. This alert is configured to use either a credit card rule which relies on statement and payment dates or to use a simple rolling over rule with a simple interest free period.
Please, note that interest on some transactions (e.g. cash) may be calculated differently by your provider and Bank Control rules don't take this into account.
You can configure this alert for each account.
  • Bank Control service, client application and your Internet banking provider - they all record a timestamp of the last login. A notification will be shown if there is a mismatch between these records which may or may not indicate unauthorised access to your Internet banking account. For example, this alert will be raised if you access your Internet banking from a browser or in case of some communication failures. This is an experimental feature at this stage.
    You can't configure this alert.
  • Bank Control shows notifications when technical problems other than network communication occur.
    You can't configure this alert.
  • Bank Control client application keeps audit log with all alerts for the last few days. You can view and dismiss alerts.
